Tracking Happiness
2009, video, 11 min

In this film, he studies the paradox of an age in which traces are perpetually left and deleted. Tracking Happiness shows a group of women dressed in white walking barefoot across white sand. As they move in single file, each wields a broom to erase all traces of the woman who came before her. A harsh white light softens the limits of their immediate surroundings, which seem infinite. The mystical appearance of these women contrasts with the banality of what they are doing, and the music composed by Adrian Gagiu infuses the film with an uncanny atmosphere.
